Long Update!!!

OK So it has been a while since I last posted. I did so good there at the beginning... and then I got sick :( Never fun. We will start with the most recent and work our way back!!!

Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to work at an express session of efy in Ogden! I seriously love when I get to see my friends and hang out with so many amazing youth! I love getting to know new people! Here is a picture of the wonderful counselors I got to work with! I am sooooo excited for the session they are having in St. George in January!!!!

This last Friday night I went to a friends bridal shower and it was awesome! I ran into another friend who got married a while ago and had this adorable little girl. It was so great to see them and I loved holding her baby. I think I held Kylie nearly the entire shower! Amber kept asking if I wanted her to take her but I just didn't want to give her back!

As you all know I work in a daycare and I LOVE IT!!!!! Last week was Halloween and we all dressed up! We had a blast. Look how cute my kiddos are!

And that night I went to Trunk or Treat with my parents... I decorated their trunk and they handed out candy!!! Here is a picture of them!

The weekend before Halloween I went up to Logan to do an express session of EFY! It was a blast. I was able to see a few of the counselors that I worked with this past summer! I just love them so much. They have become like a second family to me! Here is a few pictures from the wonderful day!

The Monday before that I was able to go to Tuacahn Theater and see Mary Poppins. I went on a cousin date with my sweet little cousin who is 8 years old. His parents and my parents were there too!

I love life!!!

OK so just a little back story! I work in a daycare. I have worked there for 2 months now. We have these 3 little boys that are brothers. They are some of the cutest little boys on the face of the earth but they can be a handful. OK now onto my story! **Disclaimer if you don't like stories about throw up don't read this story... but you should look at the picture because the boys are adorable!!!
Today I went to work at 7 a.m. I love my job and I am so blessed to have it but 7 a.m. is a little early for me. Especially today. Last night I didn't get to bed too early and when I got to bed it took me forever to fall asleep. Needless to say I was exhausted this morning.
The 3 boys got to the daycare shortly after I got everything ready to open. I made them pancakes for breakfast (and by I made I mean I opened a package and put them in the microwave then poured syrup on them!) and the oldest one wouldn't eat his... he kept saying his tummy hurt... I didn't think much of it because his tummy always hurts.
So I let them watch the Incredibles. They were so stinking cute all three of them layed there and watched which NEVER happens!
Is this not the cutest picture you have ever seen. Anyway a few minutes later the one in the middle (the oldest and the one complaining he didn't feel well) started complaining about his shirt being wet. He had thrown up all over it. I cleaned up the throw up and called his mom. We snuggled on the couch and waited for his mommy. Every time the door would open he would ask me if it was his mommy. Poor thing didn't feel good at all. I was loving the fact that I didn't have to feel bad for just sitting there and cuddling with this poor little angle when all of a sudden he threw up all over me... EWWWW!
I cleaned it up and changed him again. He was so sad he just layed there in my arms asking for his mommy. I just prayed she would hurry up! She finally got there and the 3 little boys went home. I was sad to see them go but I am sure they will be back soon!
After the boys went home I spent the next hour disinfecting EVERYTHING!!! My boss is going out of town tomorrow with all of her kids and she didn't want them to get sick so she kept them upstairs. She also didn't want us to get sick because she would be out of town and unable to cover our shifts in the need arose.
It turned out OK that I was exhausted because we ended up having a pretty mellow day. A lot of the kids weren't there. The sweet little boy throwing up this morning turned out to be a blessing in disguise! Life is beautiful!!!

Miracles... the tender mercies of a loving Father in Heaven

Today I was thinking about all the amazing miracles that I have seen throughout my life and I was thinking about how I love the month of October. Some might ask what these 2 thoughts have in common and I will tell you. The biggest miracles I have seen in my life have happened in the amazing month of October!
Just before my 16th birthday my family moved from Washington state to Utah. I had a bit of a hard time transitioning. I didn't have a lot of friends and I felt very alone. I had been praying and asking my Heavenly Father to help me feel His love. I missed my older brother A LOT... he had graduated early and went off to collage. (when he lived at home I swore I would never miss him but the minute he left I wanted him back) In October my family and I were traveling to Colorado to visit my oldest sister. We split up into 2 cars and half of us drove straight to Colorado while the other half went to my aunts house to wait for my brother to meet up with them before they came the rest of the way. Shortly after the first group arrived in Colorado we got a phone call from my dad letting us know that my brother had been in a roll over car accident and had broken his neck. He asked us to pray for him but not to hurry home because there wasn't much we could do sitting in the hospital. my brother chose to see if his neck would heal on his own and he moved home to be with the family while he healed. I didn't realize it at the time but I know that this was an answer to my prayers. I had my brother back... and I could hang out with him whenever I wanted because he couldn't leave the house. He eventually healed up a year later he served a mission and is now married with 3 kids! What a miracle!
When I was 17 I received my patriarchal blessing in the month of October... for those of you who are not of the L.D.S. faith a Patriarchal blessing is a special blessing we receive that gives us guidance throughout our life. This blessing has been just that, a huge blessing, in my life! I am so grateful for the guidance it has given me and the strength it has been to me in the times I needed it most. What a miracle!
When I was 18 I went to the doctor and had some tests done. When the doctor called he gave me some very sad news... I was never going to have children of my own. I was devastated. All I ever wanted was to get married and have a family and now all those dreams had been shattered. I just started to bawl... nothing was going to make me feel better. My parents read my Patriarchal blessing with me and it brought a little comfort, but I wasn't completely OK with putting my faith in God. I will admit that this was probably the hardest time I had EVER been through. We called up a specialist and set an appointment. about 6 weeks later I fasted we prayed as a family and my dad gave me a priesthood blessing. I will never forget the wonderful words that were spoken through the amazing priesthood power! I was promised that I would be OK and that I would be able to have children in this life if it was the will of my Father in Heaven. I went to the specialist the next morning and He told me that I was going to be OK and with the right medicines I would be able to have children of my own! I was ecstatic. What a miracle!
When I was 20 years old I was trying to decide what I wanted to do with my life. I was getting a little burnt out with school and I wanted a change. That is when I decided I was going to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 2 days after my 21st birthday I received my mission call to Minneapolis Minnesota!!! I was so excited... not so much about being freezing... but absolutely about serving a mission! I entered the M.T.C. on October 21st of that same year! What a miracle!
As I sat here writing this blog post I had tears running down my cheeks, not because I was sad but because I was so grateful to my Savior and Father in Heaven for being by my side when I needed them most! I couldn't be more grateful to have them in my life and to be a part of their AMAZING gospel! I love my life, I love my family, I love the Gospel!

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

Here we go...

The motto I have adopted for my life is, 'Life is Beautiful' so I decided to name my blog that! I believe that you can find the beauty in everything around you... especially when you feel like there isn't any. The purpose of my blog is to be more like a journal or a place for me to write about my life and feelings. I am excited to start and I hope I can keep it going! I will try to update it often! I love that you are taking the time to read about me... but please don't feel like you have to read everything or every time I post.
I love my life. Right now I live in the beautiful city of St. George. I am attending Dixie State and I LOVE IT!!! I am so glad to be back in school. I love my classes, my teachers, and my classmates! I am excited to continue in school and I love my major!!! I love my job. I work in a fun little daycare. My boss and my co-workers are the best. i enjoy work and I love the experience it gives me working with kids. See what I mean... My life is beautiful!
I honestly have no complaints about my life... there are definitely things that I would change if they were in my power to change but I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me! I am so grateful to have the life I have and I am grateful for my family and friends that make it all possible!!! I love you all.
